How to access members only sites with Google Reader

How many times have you browsed the web and have found a great website with great content but only available to members?

If your luck is like mine, you have faced a lot of ‘members only’ sites. And if you are like me, I don’t have time and don’t feel like I need to register in every site I encounter in my day per day internet browsing.

But if I don’t register I won’t be able to see the great content thrown by search engines. Well I can use the cached pages stored in google or yahoo WRONG!

You may get lucky with the cached pages once in a while but there is a better way of accessing this prohibited content thru one of the best tools Google has to offer ‘Reader

Let’s try this website as an example, El Forro. This great spanish website has so much great content ( Porn being the strongest area ) and though you can actually see a whole lot in their homepage there is a lot more that is prohibited to the general audience. You would need to register as a member and join their forums in order to access all +18 material.

But we won’t register, we will use our tool mentioned earlier ‘Google Reader

Without Google Reader, you will get the following ( see picture below ) when trying to access private content from El Forro website:

Members Only - Private Content

Members Only - Private Content

But once you add this website as a feed in your google reader, then the content magically appears and become accessible, see below:

Private Content - Accessible

Private Content - Accessible
